The cut a thon started in 2019. The idea came from my life experiences and how having this license gave me the tools to take care of myself and my family no matter what situation I was in. Having a trade and doing something you love, can take you as far as you want to go in life. Giving someone the gift of education has been a dream of mine for years. It’s something no one can take away from them. We all have been in a situation where we needed just that one person to believe in us, the cut a thon allows us to be that chance for someone and can change their life.

 

Cut a Thon by a Blonde has given thousands of dollars in grant money to students in the beauty and barber industry. The event itself is such a fun time for the community to come out and enjoy getting services done for donation, shopping with local vendors, music, great food all while supporting this amazing cause. As each year comes, I still sit back in awe that with the help of our community and all the people involved in helping me bring this vision to life, that we’re able to give someone a better path and a lifelong dream.
